Senior Frontend Engineer — On-site (San Francisco, CA)

Job Description

We’re hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to build intuitive, accessible, and high-performance web experiences that guide users from “I need care” to confident next steps. You’ll own major portions of our frontend application and collaborate closely with backend and product teams in a regulated healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Build responsive, accessible, and performant web interfaces using modern frontend technologies.

• Integrate with backend APIs and AI services to deliver explainable, trustworthy workflows.

• Implement and uphold design system, UX, and accessibility (WCAG) standards.

• Collaborate with product, design, and backend engineering to deliver features end-to-end.

• Ensure secure handling of PHI and PII at the presentation layer.

• Contribute to frontend architecture, tooling, and best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional frontend engineering experience.

• Deep proficiency with React and TypeScript (or a similar modern framework).

• Experience integrating REST and/or GraphQL APIs.

• Strong understanding of frontend performance, accessibility, and security.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with backend teams, including Rust-based services.
